When talking about dating, it is normally associated with the younger generation. But more and more, the older generation increasingly are plucking up the courage and want to meet someone – even if it’s just a companion to share conversation and days out, theatre visits and meals.

Being single in later years isn’t much fun. Your circle of friends may not be set up to accommodate a singleton, and maybe they don’t fully understand how you feel. People seem to use their age as an excuse not to get out so much, or maybe they are embarrassed to tell their own grown-up children that they want a bit more excitement in their life.  The truth is that a staggering 60% of women and 30% of men over the age of 65 are living a single life.

As we get older, our bodies do change and our confidence is affected.  Before you begin dating, try and get your fitness to your full potential and loose some of that weight that’s been bugging you. Feeling good about yourself is one of the biggest hurdles to overcome. [Read more...]
